I’m a father of three kids ‘The Three Musketeers’, they are my life, my family always comes first. I was an Electronics Engineer and now an Engineering Leader and an Entrepreneur. I’ve always been fascinated with the Internet and I wanted to establish my online presence very early. Let me take you on a very quick journey into my Internet life:
In 1995 I created my first personal website. It was all about me, photos, games, guestbook, etc… Currently it lives in my backup drives.
In 1999 I started to use ecommerce. Buying online and getting stuff delivered to my doorstep from all over the world from eBay, Amazon, you name it! And I remember that DEWA was the first to launch payment of bills online in the UAE and I was amongst the first to use this service.
In 2003 I launched the first Pocket PC website in the Middle East “Pocket PC Dubai”. It was a blog, community, online magazine, buyer guide, reviews, software store, etc… Then I launched other technology related websites: Mobility Dubai, Smartphone Dubai, and UMPC Dubai.
In 2004 I have launched my corporate websites. I had the second online IT store in the UAE for one of my companies “Gadgets World”. I’ve launched six more corporate websites for my group of companies. I enjoyed discovering online possibilities. I’ve designed and developed several websites for my business and for others as well. I even had my own web development company.
In 2008, I started joining several social networking websites such as YouTube, Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter.
In 2010, I have decided to launch my own personal blog and here we are! ;-)
It is strange for an avid online surfer that for 15 years I had only one personal website and it was my first! Things have changed. Newfound obligations have severely hampered the time and energy I once had to maintain my technology websites and communities so I canceled them gradually. Thanks to cutting-edge hosting services for bloggers making it easy, fast and fun to blog, I decided to make a comeback to share knowledge, network, and socialize. In May 2011 I launched a humor website for short jokes in a letter form its called Dear Jokes which is very hilarious and sarcastic, check it out dearjokes.net. In September 2011 I launched activeleadership.net sharing Management and Leadership stories.
On alfalasy.com I will be blogging about everything related to my personal life, my interests in lifestyle, technology, entertainment, sports, thoughts, faith, personal experiences, etc… Including some hidden messages which are obvious to people who knows me very well or start to get to know me! :-) I might also post some rants and raves though! ;-)
My personal blog is what I want to leave behind as an online remembrance to my loved ones.
